- IS MY COMPUTER OR TABLET COMPATIBLE?

- WHAT BROWSER CAN I USE TO ACCESS THE CMS?

We recommend the following browsers for optimal CMS performance:

  • Google Chrome

  • Mozilla Firefox

  • Microsoft Edge

NOTE: If your preferred browser is not listed above, we suggest that you download one of our recommendations to avoid performance issues. Click on one of the suggestions to download the browser.

- WHAT MEDIA (FILETYPES) DOES KODEX SUPPORT?

Currently our platform supports the following filetypes:

  • IMAGES: .jpeg, .png

  • VIDEOS: .mp4, .wmv

  • AUDIO: .mp3, .wav

- HOW DO I UPLOAD MY CONTENT?

After creating your Collection, it’s simple to edit/add your content. For instructions on uploading content, click on the Experience below that you are working with, and scroll down to “Add/Edit a Section”.

- WHY IS MY IMAGE SO SMALL?

If your image does not appear fullscreen in the application, your source file is too small. We recommend that your images be at least 1920 pixels wide x 1080 pixels tall in resolution. If you want your image to take up the entire screen, you will need to use an image editing tool like Photoshop or Corel Paintshop Pro to crop your image, expand your image canvas, or make it a specific resolution.

- CAN I CREATE A COLLECTION WITHOUT A SPREADSHEET?

Yes! Simply choose your Experience and click on the “Create a Blank Collection” button.

- CAN I DUPLICATE (OR CLONE) MY CURRENT COLLECTION?

Yes! Simply click on the clipboard icon next to your Collection name within the KODEX Dashboard.

 

- WHY IS MY SCREENSAVER NOT SHOWING UP?

If you have created a screensaver and it is not currently active, be sure to check the following items:

(Within the CMS)

  • You clicked the radio button next to the screensaver title that you want to show and clicked the “Save and Finish” button. If you did not click the Save and Finish button, your screensaver will not be activated.

(Within the Application)

  • You set your screensaver time from the “Settings” button in the upper right hand corner of the screen.

  • You have Synced your content from the “Restart and Sync KODEX” button in the upper right hand corner of the screen

- CAN I CROP MY IMAGE?

For more information on cropping your image, click on the Experience below that you wish to edit. Select “Add/Edit a Section” from the left side navigation and scroll down to: “Edit Image Focal Point”.

- HOW DO I ADD/EDIT A BACKGROUND WITHIN MY COLLECTION?

Simple! The design team here at VisionThree has you covered with all of your background design needs. If you have a background you wish to upload (or an idea), contact us at support@kodexinteractive.com. We can change your background or find something that best fits your needs. 

- WHY CAN I ADD AUDIO FILES IN ALL EXPERIENCES EXCEPT GALLERY?

Gallery Experiences are meant to be multi-user Experiences.  We have included a way for the audio to be turned completely off in this Experience to avoid many different sounds playing at one time with multiple users. The audio files do not have visuals, so if the sound is turned off, the Experience would appear “broken”.  To avoid this, we have eliminated the use of audio files within this Experience.

- IS THERE A PREVIEW STATE IN THE CMS?

No, there is not a preview state within the CMS.  We understand that this would be an incredibly useful tool, and we are currently in discussions with our development team to figure out a solution.

- CAN I DOWNLOAD THE ASSETS FROM THE CMS?

No.  Unfortunately you cannot download assets from the CMS at this time.  To obtain the files within the CMS, you will need to contact the personnel that uploaded the original source file.

 

- HOW DO I INSTALL KODEX?

Click on one of the options below to install the KODEX Software on your PC or Tablet.
